The Market Hall has stood in downtown Peterborough since 1889. It has been a butter market, a courtroom, a movie house, and now a 388-seat performing arts centre — one of the most distinctive small theatres in the region.
A string quartet on a Tuesday, a sold-out comedy night on a Friday — we treat both with equal seriousness, and trust our audiences to make up their own minds.
Memberships, donations, sponsorships, naming opportunities, and the 50-50 raffle — there are many ways to keep this stage lit. Your support directly funds the artists and programs you see here.
The Market Hall is available for concerts, recitals, screenings, lectures, weddings, and private events. If you're planning something and think this room might be the right fit, get in touch.
Send us a note and we'll get back to you. For urgent ticket questions, the box office is open Tuesday–Friday, 12 PM – 4:30 PM (and during shows).
